FAQ

Who do I contact with questions about Time and leave?
If you have any questions about Time & Leave, you can contact Kim Wang, the CUNY Program manager, for assistance.

How do I get permission to use annual leave?
You must give your supervisor at least two-week notice if you want to take your annual leave. Then your supervisor can decide whether to allow you to take the annual leave. At that point, you need to email the CUNY Program Manager about the approval from your supervisor. No annual leave will be carried over from one project year to the next. So it's advisable that all interns to take all accrued annual leave prior to the end of the project cycle, which is 06/30.

What about sick time?
If you are not able to go to work because of a sickness, you must call your supervisor and the CUNY Program Manager, Kim Wang in the morning to let him/her know that you are going to take how many hours off for that particular day. If you have a doctor's appointment at a certain time, you must give your supervisor at least one-week notice and obtain permission to take those hours off. Then you need to fax the doctor's note to Kim at 212-652-2899 for confirmation. Otherwise, the sick leave will not be granted.
