T++ Technical Skills Training Program

CISDD is a partner in the New York Information Technology Career Ladder Consortium (NYITCLC). The Consortium, a collaborative effort between CISDD, The New York Software Industry Association (NYSIA), the Workforce Investment Board, the Workforce Strategy Center and Seedco, received a grant from the U.S. Department of Labor that provided intermediate skills training for unemployed, dislocated, or underemployed workers and advanced skills training for currently employed workers. The consortium was instrumental in organizing entry level classes for similar populations. All training classes provided under this grant were free.

CISDD offered the following classes for this program:

BACK TO WORK / INTERMEDIATE LEVEL TRAINING
Through this grant, qualified participants received up to 220 hours of free, intensive, hands-on technical training in web development or systems administration. Program participants also received career development assistance including resume and interviewing workshops, networking events and panel discussions with IT professionals. Job placement assistance was also available.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT / ADVANCED LEVEL TRAINING
Also through this grant, CISDD offered advanced level training to incumbent workers, at no cost to their company. Classes included:
